1940 Custom Build Chevy Coupe Pro Street.
This Coupe has won numerous trophies that include the Good Guys National Pro Street.
It is a full body restoration with the best of everything. The motor started out as a 502 horse with aluminum heads. It was bored .030 over balanced and topped with Weiland 8-71 blower and Twin 750 Holleys. There is a NOS Fogger system mounted under the carbs. The motor was dynoed at 770 horsepower on pump gas with no nitrous; however, the Coupe does have a 500 Nitrous System installed. The transmission is an electronic Phoenix computer controlled 4L80E that is built to handle 1500 horsepower. The narrowed Ford 9 inch is filled with 4.56 POSI unit and resides in an Art Morrison rear clip with ladder bars. The front end suspension is a Mustang II with Baer Brakes all around. The Coupe has air ride suspension all the way around. The trunk houses a 20 gallon fuel cell, batteries and air tank. It has a 3 ½” chopped top and numerous body modifications.
The interior has been done in grey leather, with leather covered Fiero bucket seats. Air conditioning, auto meter gauges, a custom sound system, and air ride controls. Custom Zoomie headers and manual cut outs feed the exhaust into the custom 4” baffled side pipes.
The Chevy is an all steel car with suicide doors, 5 Point Harness and 10 Point Steel Roll cage. Professional custom paint. Less than 2500 miles. Rear tires are 31 x 18.5 OR15LT.
